Bob is a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. He was born and raised on the Standing Rock reservation at Fort Yates, North Dakota. He founded RCFS in 1998 and serves as chairman and owner.

Bob led the company through its evolution from a local packaging broker, to a regional food distributor and now, a national and international manufacturer and marketer of food products. Under Bob's leadership, RCFS expanded into military and the mass channel categories. Today, RCFS is viewed as one of the top performing suppliers to the Prime Vendor program for the us Army in the Southwest Asia area of operations.

Bob is active in the American Indian Business Leadership organization (AIBL), which supports the economic growth of tribes and Indian owned businesses. RCFS and Bob Harrison are the recent recipients of the "American Indian Business of the Year Award" for 2009 given by the National Center for American Indian Economic Development (NCAIED).
