Kellen completed his B.A. in Visual Communication from Northern Illinois University while actively involved with the design and education community. Kellen is responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive design strategy, including all marketing collateral, and managing the creative process for all RCFS' projects.

Prior to joining the RCFS team, Kellen served in the United States Marine Corps infantry as a Platoon Sergeant during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and the Global War on Terrorism. Kellen's unit was among the first into Iraq during the invasion, and was present during the toppling of Saddam Hussein's statue in Paradise Square, Baghdad. Kellen returned with his unit three times during his enlistment and played key rolls in the battle for Fallujah, and provided security during the first democratic election in the history of Iraq. During his time in service Kellen was awarded two Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medals with combat distinguishing device, a V for valor, as well as the Presidential unit citation which is the highest unit award in the military. Serving in three combat deployments, Kellen was responsible for the training, and tactical employment of the 30+ Marines under his command.
